Samsung Smart TVs Enable Users to Add and Rearrange Their Own Streaming Apps

Samsung’s newest smart‑TV operating systems ship with a collection of well‑known streaming services pre‑installed, yet the manufacturer also lets owners broaden that selection and customize the home screen to suit their tastes. In recent firmware updates the procedure has become more user‑friendly, permitting viewers to access the Samsung App Store straight from the remote, pick additional services, and position them wherever they prefer on the main dashboard.

To add another app, users simply press the "Apps" button on the remote, launch the Samsung Store, and either search for or scroll through the roster of offerings. After choosing an app, a quick download and installation run automatically, after which its icon shows up on the home screen. The same menu includes a "My Apps" area where unwanted programs can be removed, keeping the layout tidy.

Changing the order of icons is just as easy. By highlighting an app and choosing the "Move" command, the remote’s directional pad can shift the tile left, right, up or down. This adaptability is handy for households with several viewers who may favor different services—for example, a sports channel for one person and an educational children’s app for another.

Analysts observe that the option to personalize app arrangements mirrors a wider shift toward user‑centric design in the smart‑TV arena. As manufacturers vie for market share, delivering a more individualized experience can set a brand apart. Samsung’s strategy also eases the annoyance some users experience when default apps crowd the screen, relegating less‑used services to hidden menus.

Looking forward, Samsung has signaled that upcoming updates might bring drag‑and‑drop capabilities via voice commands or companion mobile apps, further simplifying customization. In the meantime, the current tools already provide owners with a practical means to shape their viewing setup, ensuring the TV interface matches personal habits instead of a one‑size‑fits‑all approach.
