A sudden increase in cases of coronavirus has been seen in China ahead of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games to be held in February next year. There have been 206 new cases of Kovid-19 in the country, out of which 158 are cases of local infection. The country’s health commission gave this information on Sunday.
The National Health Commission (NHC) said that out of the new cases of coronavirus, 157 cases were reported in Shaanxi and one case in Guangxi province. The Beijing Winter Olympic Games are to be held in the country from February 4 to February 20 in 2022. Earlier, the increase in cases has raised concerns and officials are trying to control the infection.
