A man was seriously injured early Thursday morning when he was shot by multiple Boston Police officers in Jamaica Plain.
According to the police department, the agents tried to stop a vehicle near the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital, when the suspect got out and began to run.
“During the foot pursuit, the suspect turned and fired at the officers. It was at that moment that the policemen shot him multiple times.” Boston Police Acting Commissioner Gregory Long said.
Four officers were taken to hospitals for evaluation, and one suffered minor injuries, but none of them were hit by bullets.
Both the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and Boston police detectives are continuing investigations.
